Charlie Edward "Eddie" Alberson

Charlie "Eddie" Alberson, 65, heavy equipment operator for the Oil-Dri Company in Ripley for 44 years before his retirement and devoted husband of Sandra Carter Alberson, died Sunday evening, Oct. 4, 2015 at his home. Services honoring the life of Mr. Alberson will be at 2 PM Wednesday, Oct. 7 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with burial in the Friendship Cemetery near Ashland.
  A lifelong resident of Tippah and Benton Counties, Eddie was a member of the Friendship Methodist Church and will be remembered as a person devoted to his family and neighbors. Eddie was a people person and in earlier years enjoyed outdoor activities that included logging, fishing and rabbit hunting.
  Visitation will continue Wednesday, October 7 at 12 noon at the Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to his wife of 47 years, Eddie leaves his children, Swana Johnson (Darrell) of Tupelo, Wallace Alberson (Vanessa) of Ashland and Clint Alberson of Falkner and 3 grandchildren. He was the brother of Judy Reeves (William) of Ripley, Francis Bennett (Robert), Billy Alberson (Lynn), Norman Alberson (Janet) and Cecil Alberson all of Ashland, and two special cousins, Kenny Hunt and Connie Alberson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Hill
