 Charlotte Thomas Foster, 86, resident of the Blue Springs Community, native Tippah Countian and wife of the late Robert Foster, passed away peacefully Monday morning January 9, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
  Services celebrating the well lived life of Mrs. Foster will be Friday, January 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blue Mountain Cemetery. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  Born July 4, 1930 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Leona Plaxico Thomas. Mrs. Foster was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, an employee of Irwin B. Swabie Company for over 30 years and was married to Robert Foster, a well known painter in the North Mississippi area who passed away November 11, 1992.
  She was a member of Mt. Gillead Baptist Church and enjoyed Bible reading and church activities as long as her health permitted. Devoted to her family, she will be remembered for her love of reading, cooking, sewing and needlwork.
  Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Sweatman and Cynthia Bishop (Chris) both of Myrtle, Diane Rhynes of Houston, Betty Russell and Tracie Woodson (Shannon Young) both of New Albany. David Foster (Connie) of Blue Springs, a brother, Johnny Thomas of Cullman, AL, two step-children, Debbie Kinsey of Rosemark, TN and Billy Foster of New Albany, 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, 5 brothers, a step-daughter, Marilyn Blaylock, 1 grandson, Phillip Rhynes and a granddaughter, Miranda Blansett.
