Dalila Childers Moore

Delila Childers Moore, 87, resident of the Falkner Community and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away peacefully Sunday evening October 29, 2017 in the comfort of her home following a brief illness.
  Funeral Services cherishing the Christian life of Mrs. Moore will be at 11 AM Wednesday November 1 in The Heritage Chapel of The Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery at Walnut.
  Born in the Brownfield Community on August 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William Ottis and Lydia McCollum Childers. Mrs. Moore received her education in the North Tippah County School System and was married in 1946 to Romas Cecil "Boots" Moore, a World War II Veteran and retired employee for International Harvester, who died in 1984.
  A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Moore will also be remembered as a seamstress in earlier years and was employed by McGregor Company in Walnut. A Christian with a strong faith and a "servant's heart", she possessed an absolute love for Jesus. Known as the "Family Historian" and for her independence, Mrs. Moore enjoyed her pets, flowers, gardening and giving to others, never expecting anything in return.
  Visitation will continue Wednesday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to honor her memory include her children Daniel Moore (Yvonne) of Cordova, TN , Donald Moore (Doris) of Falkner, Dennis Moore, Sr. (Sherri) of Hornlake and Vikki Parker (Charles) of Cabot, AR, her sister, Doris Bennett Box of Ripley, her grandchildren Carol Sharp (Mike), Terry Moore, Jason Moore, Dennis Moore, Jr. (LeAnne), Frankie Bryant (Scott), Melissa Moore, Angelia Moore, Steven Moore, David Moore (Stacy), Chris Moore, Penny Streff (Rick), Brandon Parker and Destini Parker, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
  Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Frankie Childers.
