Mrs. Oneida G. McCoy was born into this world on May 18, 1935 and entered into Eternity on January 9, 2018 in the comfort of her home in the Tiplersville Community at the age of 82.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mrs. McCoy will be at 2 PM Friday January 12 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. David Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the County Line Cemetery near Walnut.
  A native of Tishomingo County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Lee and Hazel McCoy Gentle. Mrs. McCoy was a 1952 graduate of Paden High School in Tishomingo County and had been a former resident of Memphis before moving to Tippah County in 1973.
  A homemaker and long time member of County Line Baptist Church, Mrs. McCoy will be remembered as an avid gardener and for her love of sewing.
  Visitation will continue Friday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to cherish her memory include six children, Lynn Mathis of Tiplersville, Tim McCoy of Mertzon, TX, Rhonda Porter of Humboldt, TN, Royce McCoy of Haines, AK, Mary McMillin of Falkner and Jason McCoy of Mobile, AL, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, James Gentle and a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
  Mrs. McCoy was also preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Joe Lyndell McCoy, one sister and two brothers.
