 Fagin Lamar Sweatman, 83, resident of the Ripley Community, lifelong Tippah Countian and well known retired carpenter and home builder, passed away Wednesday afternoon November 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, TN.
  Services honoring the life of Mr. Sweatman will be at 2 PM Saturday December 3 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Peoples Cemetery near Ripley.
  Born February 13, 1933 in Tippah County, he was the last surviving child of 10 children born to the late Pleas and Margaret Richardson Sweatman. Mr. Sweatman was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and on July 8, 1961, married Ouida Brock, his beloved wife and companion for 55 years before her death on November 1 of this year.
  Visitation will continue Saturday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  A Baptist by faith, he was a competent homebuilder who built custom cabinets and homes for many people in Tippah County and surrounding areas before his retirement 10 years ago.
  Fagin will be remembered for his mischievous sense of humor, his love for Ole Miss football and blue grass music. He possessed a strong work ethic that will be passed down to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
  Those left to honor his memory are his children, Teresa Alexander (Donnie), Belinda Luna (Joe) and Glenn Sweatman (Lisa Johnson), all of Ripley, 3 grandchildren, Jonathan and Hannah Alexander and Rachel Luna and 2 great grandsons, Jeramiah Wadkins and Reeves Wilbanks. He was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
  Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Brad, Stacey, Nickey ,Wesley and Shirley Wayne Brock, Michael McMillin and Rickey Sweatman.
  REST IN PEACE MOM AND DAD....YOU ARE TOGETHER AGAIN.
