Frances Eudean Mauney Jones

Frances Mauney Jones, 87, resident of the Ripley Community and lifelong resident of Tippah County, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her residence.
   Private Family Graveside services are planned in the Lowry United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  Born November 24, 1928 in Tippah County, Frances was the daughter of the late T.A. and Myrtle Childs Mauney. A Baptist by faith and graduate of Palmer High School, she was a member of the high school basketball team. In earlier years, Frances was employed by the Genesco Corporation in Ripley and enjoyed serving as a sales person for a shoe store in Jackson. She was also involved in assisting families in selecting cemetery property at Tippah Memorial Gardens. An active woman all her life, Frances devoted herself to her family whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her intelligence, quick wit and her concern for animals with a special love for her dogs and cats.
  She is survived by a brother, T.A. Mauney, Jr. (Opal) of Lewisville, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Mauney and sisters, Helon Lewellen and Eudell Goforth
