 Hellon Holliday Mullikin, 80, lifelong resident of Tippah County , died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home in Ripley after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be at 1 PM Friday, Nov. 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in the Criswell Cemetery. A visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Mrs. Mullikin was employed in the Quality Control Dept. of Bilt-Rite Corp. for 36 years before her retirement 18 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Herschel Mullikin, retired Tippah Co. teacher, basketball coach and counselor before his death on Dec. 8, 2003. She was a former member of Turners Chapel Baptist Church and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church at the time of her death.
  Mrs. Mullikin possessed a happy and loving spirit and was known for her laughter and love of family and friends. She enjoyed her small farm, caring for her animals and preparing food for family and friends. Her appreciation of gardening and nature was surpassed only by her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
  Mrs. Mullikin is survived by her daughters, Jane Childs (Ronnie) of Falkner and Diann Cummings (Bryan) of Cumming, GA, her brother, Cecil Holliday (Lois) of Ripley, 4 grandchildren, Clay Braddock, Kacey McBride (Micah), Kim Benson (Tommy) and Kye Childs (Amanda), 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her beloved pet dog " Pickles" and a host of special family and friends.
  She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Duane, Junior, Ray, Billy and Ronnie Holliday.
