  Iva Morrison Cox, 90, resident of the Dumas Community and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away Sunday morning May 14, 2017 at Diversicare Health Center in Ripley.
  Funeral Services celebrating the well lived life of Mrs. Cox will be at 2 PM Tuesday May 16 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Vunacnnon and Bro. Robert Walker officiating. Personal Reflections will be given by Tommy Simpson. Burial will follow in Criswell Cemetery near Ripley.
  Born March 9, 1927 in Ripley, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Thelma Garland Morrison. Mrs. Cox received her education in the Tippah County Public School System and was married in 1945 to Doyle F. Cox, retired farmer and custodian of the Pine Grove School System who preceded her in death on March 1, 1991.
   A member of Concord Baptist Church, Mrs. Cox was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and in earlier years was an employee of Prentiss Shirt Manufacturing Company in Jumpertown. Mrs. Cox had a great love for growing flowers, her neighbors and community. She looked forward to family gatherings and will be greatly missed by her large family and many friends.
  Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce Williams (David) of Blue Mountain, Eugene Cox (Glenda) of Ripley and Chris Cox of Dumas, two sisters, Lenis Mullins of Walnut and Ruby Schwartz of White Salmon, WA, three brothers, Alvis Morrison of Booneville, Wayne Morrison (Diane) of Blue Mountain and Alvie Morrison (Lacy) of Ripley, seven grandchildren, Teressa Williams, Charlie and Greg Cox, Candiance Mitchell (Marvin), April Burnett (Marty), Natasha Garrison and Whitney Mullins, fourteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Hargett and Clara James and two brothers, Roy and Vertis Morrison.
  Those honored to serve as active and honorary pallbearers will be Steve and Paul Gibens, Bobby Burks, Charles Brown, Andy Cox, Al Roberts, Wayne Lacy, Phillip Miller and Jimmy Lawson.
