 Jane Hatzenbuhler Gray, 90, resident of the Tiplersville Community, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Gray and retired Dietician for the Tippah County Hospital, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon September 13, 2017 at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley following a brief illness.
  Services cherishing the life of Mrs. Gray will be at 11 AM Saturday September 16 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with longtime friend, Bro. Buddy Sides officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery near Walnut.
  Born June 13, 1927 in Dickinson, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Henrietta Planer Hatzenbuhler. Mrs. Gray was a 1946 graduate of Parkdale High School in Parkdale, Oregon and shortly thereafter married William "Bill" Gray of Tippah County, a retired railroad employee who preceded her in death on February 20, 1996.
  Mrs. Gray was a Christian and will be remembered as a long time Dietician for The Tippah County Hospital for 25 years before her retirement. Known for her intelligence and creativity, she believed in recycling "everything" and a firm believer that "everything" had a second use. An "inventor" throughout her life, Mrs. Gray enjoyed many books and magazines that included the gamet from "Southern Living" to "Handyman" magazines.
  Short and fiesty with a zest for life, Mrs. Gray enjoyed puzzles, sewing, flowers and butterflies.
  Visitation for Mrs. Gray will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday September 15 at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Betty Gray of Walls, MS, her sons, William Gray (Cynthia) of Germantown, TN and Buford Gray of Tiplersville, two sisters, Emma White and Henrietta Jones, both of Beaverton, OR, a brother, Jerry Hatzenbuhler,of Bynton , FL, seven grandchildren, Felicia Hamilton (Joe), Angie Smith (Eugene), Chris Gray (Holly) Stephanie Lewis (Michael), Carey Gray, Jenni McCall (Scott) and Daniel Russell (Kathy) , twenty great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Judy Gray, three sisters and four brothers.
