Janice Ray Taylor

 Janice Ray "Jan" Taylor, 63, resident of Dyer, TN with family members in Tippah County and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died Friday evening November 24, 2017 as the result of a one vehicle accident that occurred near Falkner in Tippah County. Ms. Taylor was visiting her daughters and family for the holidays when the accident occurred.
  Services honoring the life of Jan will be at 10 AM Saturday, December 2 at First Baptist Church in Dyer, TN with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Graveside Services will be at 3 PM Saturday, December 2 at Memphis Memory Garden in Memphis, TN with personal reflections given by her brother in law, Jeffery Pruitt. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born October 9, 1954 in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late Mitchel and Ida Sue Lovett Ray. Jan was a graduate of Bartlett high School and continued her education at the Memphis School of Business.
  A Christian, Jan currently served as pianist of her church and had a lifelong love for music. Her life was devoted to the family she adored, her friends who were many and her church, Dyer First Baptist, where she served faithfully. Jan gave her family and friends her whole heart and we shall carry her in our hearts forever.
  Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM Saturday at Dyer First Baptist Church.
  Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Ashley Repplinger and Carolyn Weaver (Chris) both of Ripley, a sister, Karen Pruitt (Jeffery) of Garland, TX, a brother, Michael Ray (Jodi McDaniel) of Ashland City, TN, six grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Leah, Cheyenne, Dylan and Shelby and the father of her children, Gary Summitt of Walnut.
