Jerry Leon Brady

Jerry Leon Brady, 78, resident of the Dumas Community and husband of the late Betty Johnson Brady who preceded him in death in 2012, passed away Saturday morning March 17, 2018 at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Brady will be at 3 PM Tuesday March 20 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Stegall of Dumas Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Wiers Chapel Cemetery.
  Born June 25, 1939 in Piggott, AR, he was the son of the late Oliver and Lela Dunlap Brady. He received his education in the Piggott Public School System and was an employee of the Darling Store Fixtures Company in Piggott before moving to Tippah County.
  A Baptist by faith, Mr. Brady was a person with a strong work ethic and will be remembered for his love of the outdoors that include maintaining his yard and working in his flower and vegetable gardens. Canning his home-grown produce, watching NASCAR on television and street racing were favorite pastimes.
  Visitation for Mr. Brady will be from 1 PM to 3 PM Tuesday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Tammy Roberts (Terry) and Barry Brady (Leasa), both of Dumas, Sueann Brady of Piggott, AR, Johnny Yarbrough (Mary) of Amity, AR and Jimmy
  Yarbrough of Hot Springs, AR, a sister, Jean Brady of St. Louis, MO, sixteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
  In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Brady.
