John D. "Buddy" Hopper

John D. "Buddy" Hopper, 74, resident of Ripley and retired manufacturing company employee, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Tippah County Hospital.
  Graveside services for Buddy will be at 11 am Saturday, July 25 at the Ebenezer Cemetery on the Alcorn/Tippah County line with Dr. Jack Bennett officiating. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  A Christian and graduate of Falkner High School, Buddy had many interests that included nature,gardening,cooking, billiards and watching the Atlanta Braves baseball and stock car racing on television. Buddy had enjoyed living on the farm where he could be on his porch and watching deer and wildlife in the surrounding woods.
  Survivors include a sister, Lucy Rowland, his children, Vickie Cooper (Larry) of Potts Camp, Angie Smith of Walnut and Ritchie Hopper(Angie) of Hickory Flat, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a dear friend, cousin and caregiver, Tootie Rainey of Ripley. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Lucille Ayers Hopper and a sister Sandra Ray
  Visitation will be 30 minutes before services and pallbearers will be friends and family.
