John Richard Vogle
April 24, 1952 ~ June 22, 2017 (age 65) 65 Years Old John Richard Vogle, a resident of the Dumas Community and a well-known construction equipment sales representative throughout the state of Mississippi, died Thursday morning, June 22, 2107 at his residence after an illness of several weeks.
Funeral Services honoring the well lived life of John will be at 2 PM Tuesday, June 27 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with his longtime friend, Bro. Lee Dillard of Heber Springs, AR officiating. Burial will follow in the Vogle Family Cemetery near Dumas.
A native of Great Bend, Kansas he was the son of Imagene Johnson Vogle and the late Jack Vogle. John was a graduate of the William Henry High School in Evansville, Indiana and continued his education at Texas Tech University.
Visitation will continue Tuesday until service time at the Ripley Funeral Home.
John developed lasting friendships with his many customers throughout the state while serving as a Volvo heavy equipment construction representative for Scott Equipment Company in Memphis. A Christian, John had been a resident of the Dumas Community for the past 15 years and will be remembered for his love of life and great sense of humor. John's pleasures included boating, hot rods, Nascar, water activities, and special times with his family.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his sons, John Vogle (Lauren) and Glenn Collins (Ginger) both of Dumas; his sister, Kay Ashby (Billy) of Fort Smith, AR; and 2 grandchildren, Trent Collins and Jesse Collins Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Ray Fonville, Trent Collins, Taj Colom; Clint Bailey, Nickey Newby and Jimmy Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rod Colom, James B. Ashby and Greg Vogle.
