Josephine Oliver Teague Ingle Obituary

On March 19, 2018, Josephine Oliver Teague Ingel, a beautiful life lived for 93 years, passed away peacefully at The Tippah County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley into her Heavenly home following an extended illness. A resident of the Ripley Community in recent years and a former resident of Fayette County , Tennessee for much of her life, she was a lady in every sense of the word until the very end.
  Funeral Services honoring the well lived life of "Ms. Josephine" will be at 11 AM Thursday March 22 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Moscow, TN.
  Visitation will continue Thursday until service time at 11 AM at The Ripley Funeral Home. A second visitation for family and friends in Tennessee will be from 2 PM to 3 PM Thursday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow, TN where she was a devoted member for many years before moving to Ripley to be near her family.
  Born February 23, 1925 in Somerville, TN, "Ms. Josephine" was the daughter of the late Mason and Bertie Sparkman Redfearn. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School where she was a member of the basketball team. She later received her Cosmetology License and operated Jo's Beauty Shop in Moscow for a number of years.
  "Ms. Josephine" will be remembered as a person active throughout her life in the social, business, political and civic activities of her community. A person who "wore many hats" throughout her life serving her community and some of her many contributions included serving as Moscow Police Chief, Mayor, Alderwoman, President of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxillary and with her husband, operated The Hardeman-Fayette Utility District Office in Moscow. An avid Tennessee Vols football fan, "Ms. Josephine" had a passion for shopping and participating in the area Bible Study. She had a zest for life, a quick wit and dazzling smile. Her desire in life was to love and serve others, and all who knew her would agree that she accomplished her goal.
  Blessed with a loving family, those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dale Richardson (Herbert) of Ripley and Michael Oliver of Collierville, TN, three grandchildren, Becky Moffitt (JD) and Charles Richardson, both of Ripley and Michelle Oliver of Denver, CO, five great grandchildren, Chelsey and Amber Moffitt, Ryan and Erika Richardson and Ronnie Rowland, all of Ripley two great great grandchildren, Lana and Carson Rowland of Ripley, three nieces, Carolyn Diffee, Ann Redfearn and Shirley Jean Redfearn, four nephews, Jerry, Terry, Perry Allen and Leon Redfearn and a daughter in law, Mary Redfearn.
  She was also preceded in death by three husbands, Herman Oliver, B.F. Teague and Johnny Ingle, one granddaughter, Kelli Oliver, great granddaughter, Anamarie Moffitt and two brothers, Frank and Timmons Redfearn.
