Katherine Louise Stephens White

 Louise Stephens White, 93, resident of Blue Mountain and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away Saturday January 27, 2018 at Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mrs. White will be at 2 PM Tuesday January 30 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Baker officiating assisted by Dr. Patrick Chapman. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Blue Mountain.
  Mrs. White was born March 30, 1924 in Tippah County, the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Gertrude Anderson Stephens. She was a graduate of the Buena Vista School System in Tippah County and was married September 15, 1939 to the late W.C. White who preceded her in death on January 9, 1982.
  She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a homemaker throughout her life. In earlier years Mrs. White was also employed as a retail salesperson in the Ripley area.
  An outdoor person, Mrs. White had many interests that included growing flowers of all varieties, tomatoes and watermelons with seeds that she had passed down to her family for the past 30 years. She always grew two stalks of cotton in her garden each year for her grandchildren and enjoyed drinking her Coca-Colas only from a glass bottle. Her legendary homemade muscadine wine and banana nut bread will be remembered by her family for many years.
  Visitation for Mrs. White will be from 11 AM until service time at 2 PM Tuesday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Peggy Parrish (David) of Blue Mountain and Ginger Yarbrough (Sam) of Pontotoc, two sons, David White of Millington, TN and Joe White (Sylvia) of Saltillo, two sisters, Bernice Clemmer of Ripley and Christine Moore of Raymond, MS, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and twenty great great grandchildren.
  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Wilbanks, son in law, Kenneth Wilbanks and three brothers, H.G. , Elwood and Wallace Stephens and her much loved Austrailian Shepherd, "Blue".
  The Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be W.M. Yates and friends and staff of Billie's Beauty Shop in Blue Mountain where Mrs. White enjoyed every Thursday for fellowship and her weekly salon appointment.
  The family request that memorials be directed to New Hope Cemetery Fund, 450 CR 702, Blue Mountain, MS 38610
