Louie Monroe "Bubby" Bishop

Louie "Bubby" Bishop, 68, resident of Ashland and retired poultry processor, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at his residence following a brief illness. Services will be at 3 PM Sunday at the Friendship United Methodist Church near Ashland with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  A native of Poinsett Co., AR, Mr. Bishop was a Christian and was a resident of the Ashland community for the past 10 years, moving to the Ashland & Ripley areas to be near family members. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, nature and playing basketball with his family. He had a love of music and played the guitar.
  Bubby will be missed by his daughters, Jane Bishop of Ripley, Mary Bishop of Walnut, Janelle Duvall (James) of Ashland and Mittie Bishop of Dover, AR. He also leaves his sister, Sissy Taylor (Jimmy) of Ripley, his brother, Curtis Bishop (Peggy) of London, AR., 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
