Luther Delane "Lane" Hatcher
November 17, 1939 ~ May 14, 2016 (age 76) 76 Years OldDumas- Luther Delane "Lane" Hatcher, 76, life long resident of Tippah County, respected member of the Dumas Community and husband of Lettie Dillard Hatcher, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at The Golden Living Center in Ripley. Funeral Services for Mr. Hatcher will be at 3 p.m.Tuesday, May 17 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Dumas. Lane was a member of Dumas Baptist Church and retired machine operator for Super Sagless Co. after 27 years of employment. He will be remembered as a well known swine farmer and sausage maker. Lane received much pleasure in cooking dinner each Sunday for his large extended family. Visitation will continue today from 12 noon until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home. In addition to his wife, Lane is survived by his children, Jo Waldon Clemmer, Ricky Hatcher (Kathy), Wayne Hatcher (Sissy) and Stacy Hatcher (Candy) all of Dumas, sisters, Mary Elouise Hurt of Ripley and Diane Marie Reeves of Blue Springs, his 10 grandchildren, Scotty, Richie, Dustin and Colby Hatcher, Amy Nance, Kayla Haulcomb, Katie Graves, Dillon, Mattie and Gracie Erickson and 9 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Aaron, Easton, Gardner, Kylie, Kohan, Rachel, Sarah Kate and 2 on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Hazel Hatcher, a daughter, Inga Waldon, sisters, Ruby Haynes, Mae Belle Hurt, Nettie Newby, Angie Ruth Till, Sally Etta Robbins, Lorene Grant, Modell Robbins, Sarah Ludie Wilbanks and Bessie Dean Holt, brothers, Murry, Loyd , Clyde Ray, Jody, John Edgar, Thomas Orvid, Hyman and Jessy Wayne Hatcher.
