Mark Edward "Mark" Holmes

 Mark Edward Holmes, 43, Ripley resident and Tippah County furniture frame employee before his illness, died Oct. 6, 2015 at The Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans following a brief illness while visiting his brother in Bay St. Louis, MS. Funeral Services for Mark will be at 3 PM Tuesday, October 13 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in the Weirs Chapel Cemetery near Ripley.
  A Christian, Mark will be remembered for his love of family & friends, his ever present smile and his willingness to help others. Fishing, collecting & sharpening knives were favorite interests.
  Visitation for Mark will be from 2 to 3 PM Tuesday, October 13 at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  He leaves his sons, Mark Davis Holmes of Marked Tree, AR and Brandon Holmes of Ashland, his parents, Clarence Holmes Jr. of Ashland and Annie Holmes of Ripley, and his grandson, Zayne Holmes, a sister, Patricia Huffins of Ripley, three brothers, James Terry Holmes of Bay St. Louis, Joe Holmes and John Holmes, both of Ripley, and his paternal grandmother, Hester Holmes of Baldwyn.
