Mildred Seger Barrows, 68, resident of Whiteville, TN and former resident of the Union & Tippah County areas, departed this life on Monday November 6, 2017 at the National Health Care Center in Somerville, TN following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services for Ms. Barrows will be at 11 AM Thursday November 9 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Ripley.
  Born November 2, 1949 in New Albany, MS, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Armstrong Seger. Ms. Barrows was a 1968 graduate of W. P. Daniels High School in New Albany and in earlier years was employed as a seamstress for area manufacturing companies.
  A Christian, Ms. Barrows will be remembered for her devotion to family and her love for her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Things she enjoyed included flower and vegetable gardening, caring for her animals and watching her favorite television program, "Walker, Texas Ranger".
  Visitation for Ms. Barrows will continue Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  She leaves her children, Randall David Barrows of Somerville, TN and Raven Nicole Wilkerson (Brandon) of Whiteville, TN, a sister, Betty Hutcheson of Hickory Flat, a brother, David Seger of New Albany, her grandchildren, Hannah Holmes (Devin), Taylor Deaton, Kaylin Wilkerson,Tristan, Mekenzie and Coen Barrows and two great granddaughters, Lily Holmes and Tawni Bishop. Ms. Barrows was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Austen and Caiden Barrows, a sister, Mary Hamblin and a brother, Charles Seger, Jr.
