Ollie Lue Shinall Coltharp, wife of the late J.B. Coltharp and beloved resident of the Pine Grove Community for much of her life, passed away peacefully early Friday morning April 21, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit surrounded by members of her loving family. She was 91 years of age and died following an extended illness.
  Services honoring the life of this Christian lady will be at 2 PM Sunday April 23 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with long time friends, Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. Teddy Cornelius officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot of Criswell Cemetery.
  A native of Tippah County, Mrs. Coltharp was born December 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Columbus and Martha Dees Shinall. Mrs. Coltharp received her education in the Pine Grove School System and was married at an early age to J. B. Coltharp who preceded her in death on June 25, 1986. She was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life and in earlier years was employed in the Quality Control Department of Firestone in Memphis and the Bilt-Rite Corporation in Ripley before her retirement in 1986. Mrs. Coltharp was a lifelong Methodist. In earlier years she was a member of New Harmony United Methodist Church and in recent years was a member of Lambs Chapel Methodist Church.
  Blessed to be the family matriarch of five generations, Mrs. Coltharp will be remembered as an active person with a love for her Church, Southern Gospel Music, shopping, vacations and family gatherings.
  Visitation will continue Sunday until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left behind to cherish her memory include: a daughter, Sue Cleveland of Saltillo, a son, Bro. Gene Coltharp (Louise) of Ripley, her twin sister, Dollie Kinipple of Memphis and sister, Ruby Jamison of Ripley, 7 much loved grandchildren, Tammy Kirkland (Scott) and Lonnie Perry, both of New Albany, Lisa Barnes (Bobby) of Ripley, Crystal Stone (Dereck) and Dusty Cleveland (Kristen), both of Nashville, TN, Darrell Cleveland (Michell) of Starkville and Ginger Langley (Jamie) of Guntown, 12 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by a son in law, Rex Cleveland and a sister, Annie Lee Barber.
  BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART...FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.
