Tippah County -   Robert Wayne "Chuckie" Charley, 60, resident of the Walnut Community and self employed auto mechanic for much of his life, died Monday, May 16, 2016 at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth following a brief illness. Services for Chuckie will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at the family residence with burial in the Charley private family cemetery. Arrangements are provided by The Ripley Funeral Home. A native Kansas City, KS, he was the son of the late Robert W. Charley and the late Dorothy Johnson Charley. He moved to Memphis with his family at an early age and received his education in the Memphis Public School System. He was a Christian and had been a resident of Tippah County since 1988. A racing car enthusiast, Chuckie enjoyed his 1970 Dodge Challenger, automobile racing, playing billiards and his pet bulldog "Harley". Survivors include his daughter, Tina Sellers of New Albany, his son, Phillip Hastings of Walnut, 2 sisters, Shirley Faye Novem of Rossville, TN and Mary Jane Littlejohn of Memphis, a brother, Willy Ward of Eudora, AR, 2 granddaughters, Leah and Julie Jeter and a host of other family and friends.
