Roy Allison Clark, resident of the Tippah & Benton County areas and retired contractor, passed away Saturday evening November 25, 2017 at the Ashland Health & Rehabilitation Center in Benton County. He was 79 years old and died following an illness of several weeks.
Graveside Services for Mr. Clark will be at 2 PM Tuesday November 28 in The Ashland City Cemetery with visitation 30 minutes before services. His pastor, Dr. Gerald Hodges, of The Ashland Baptist Church will officiate. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
A native of Texas, Mr. Clark was born August 23, 1938 the son of the late Roy W. and Eula Lewis Clark. He received his education in the Texas Public School System and was married to his beloved wife, the former Nell Severinski, who died in 2014.
A person with a strong work ethic, Mr. Clark was a long time independent contractor in Texas and the Mid-South before his retirement two years ago. He moved to North Mississippi four years ago to be near his family and was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church.
A family oriented person, Mr. Clark, affectionately known as "Paw-Paw" by family and friends, enjoyed vegetable gardening and being outdoors as long as health permitted. His pleasant personality and his concern for his family will not be forgotten.
Those left to honor his memory include a daughter, Lisa Stoker of Stewart, MS, a loving granddaughter and her husband, Krystal and Robert Luna of Benton County who opened their home to Mr. Clark, making his final years peaceful and happy. He also leaves a grandson Edward Kelsey (Ellise) of Ashland and a number of great grandchildren.

The Ripley Funeral Home is honored to serve the Clark family and invites you to sign the guestbook and share memories.
