Thomas Lee "Tommy" L. Perkins

Thomas Lee "Tommy" Perkins, 63, resident of Ripley, died Saturday evening Oct. 10, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
  Tommy was a native of Memphis and as a young person moved with his family to Tippah County where he resided for much of his life. He received his education at Ripley High School and was a member of the Ripley Church of Christ. Tommy was one of God's Special Children and had been a resident of The Baddour Center for 22 years where he had many friends and acquaintances. He was much loved by his family and his interests included reading, camping, traveling and visits to the family farm.
  Private family services are planned for Tommy with burial in the Tippah Memorial Garden. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel Perkins.
  Tommy is survived by his mother, Ruth Perkins Grisham and his twin sister, Ann Akins (Benny), both of Ripley, his brother, Jim Perkins (Nancy) of Madison, MS and three nephews, Chris Hall of Tuscumbia, AL, Jon Hall (Sarah) of Falkner, and Andy Perkins of Holly Springs.
