Troy Clifton "Scooter" Vandygriff

 Troy Clifton "Scooter" Vandygriff, 40, resident of the Dumas Community and beloved husband, son, dad and nephew, died Tuesday morning July 12, 2016 of injuries received in a two vehicle accident that occurred in the Dumas Community near the Tippah-Union County line.
  Services honoring the life of Scooter will be at 10 AM Friday, July 15 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with burial in Lowry Methodist Church Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Tippah County, Scooter attended Pine Grove High School and was a furniture industry employee and long distance trucker in earlier years. He had a love for farming and in recent years was employed by Camp Farms in Tippah County. A Methodist, Scooter will be remembered for his devotion to family and friends. He received much enjoyment from raising game chickens and playing music. Visitation will continue Friday at The Ripley Funeral Home 2 hours before services. Scooter leaves his wife, Tracy Page Vandygriff, his parents, Clifford and Tressie Harrison Vandygriff, his daughters, Jacie Kay Duncan and Haley Margrette Cave all of Dumas.
