Willie Nathan Smith

Willie Nathan Smith, 71, lifelong resident of Tiplersville Community and US Air Force Veteran, passed away peacefully Saturday April 9, 2016 at his residence at Tiplersville. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 in the Tiplersville Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Caldwell officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be at the cemetery one hour before services. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home. Born September 17, 1944 in Tippah County to the late Curtis and Minnie Meeks Smith, Mr. Smith served his Country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War Period and was a devoted employee of Dover Elevators/Thyssen Krupp Elevators for 36 years before his retirement. He was very much a private person, quite happy and content with his own company and his privacy. Mr. Smith loved the simple pleasures of life that included his family and gardening. He is survived by one brother, Ronnie Smith. His parents, one sister, Louise Hopper and one brother, Howard E. Smith preceded him in death.
