Jerry Milton Gadd II Obituary

Jerry Milton Gadd II, known as "Scooby," to his friends and family, went to that "Happy Hunting Ground" Tuesday April 2, 2024, at his home in Blue Mountain, MS.

Funeral Services honoring Jerry's life will be at 1 PM Thursday April 4, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Hurt officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Thursday April 4, 2024, at the Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Baines Chapel Apostolic Church Cemetery.

Born May 18, 1972, in New Albany, MS, Jerry is the son of Jerry Gadd and Joann Smith Nanney. He received his education from Hickory Flat High School and was a valued employee in the upholstery department with Alaco and BenchCraft Furniture Company for twenty years before his retirement.

A Christan and member of Baines Chapel Apostolic Church, Jerry was your typical good ole country boy. He enjoyed being out in God's creation while fishing and hunting, watching NASCAR on television, and listening to outlaw country music. He was quite the shade tree philosopher, always telling stories to people about the " biggest buck that got away" or catching the "biggest fish you had ever seen". To know Jerry was to love him. He loved deeply, laughed constantly, and had a true generous heart. He spent many days helping folks and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Jerry's life made a difference to so many people and his fun-loving personality and kindheartedness will never be forgotten.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Betty Jean Willingham Gadd, three daughters, Cayla Taylor (Samuel), Paige Gadd Binet (Ricky), and Jennifer Stanford (Jonathan), one son, Jeffery Gadd (Sherry), two sisters, Kathy Hill (Jimmy), and Melissa Patrick, one brother, Brian Gadd, and eight grandchildren.
