Annie Sue Whitehead Harris Obituary

Tippah/ Benton Counties -   Our loving sister, aunt, caregiver and friend, Annie Sue Whitehead Harris, 81, resident of Moscow, TN and native Benton/ Tippah Countian, passed away Tuesday morning May 29, 2018 at her home following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services cherishing the life of Sue will be at 2 PM Saturday, June 2 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with family friend, Bro. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will follow in The Medlock Cemetery near Ashland.
  Born November 17, 1936 in the Blackjack Community of Benton County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Leona Rumsey Whitehead. Sue received her early education in the Blackjack School System and in later years attended Walnut High School.
  A member of Medlock Methodist Church, Sue was employed by the Sewell Plastic Corporation in Collierville, TN as a Quality Control Supervisor for many years before her retirement. With a caring spirit and grateful heart, she served as a caregiver, mentor and a second mother for her family. She will be remembered for her love of Country music and attending the "June Jam" every year in Fort Payne, Alabama.
  Visitation for Sue will be from 11 AM until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Her memory will forever be treasured by her three sisters, Bonnie Carder of East Point, GA, Betty Tomlinson (Jim) of Walnut and Mae Pearson (Bret), her caregivers of Moscow, TN, nine nieces, Judy, Kathy, Terri, Brenda, Sharon, Paula, Denise, Phyllis and Sheila, one nephew, Barry, four step-children, Gayle, Teresa, Ricky , Teresa and her pet feline, Boots.
  She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Braden and G.W. Harris, two sisters, Etoil King and Oneal Brown, three brothers, Pete, Billy, Jr and Glendal, one niece, Sara and four nephews, Dwight, Jeff, David, Keith and her precious pet canine, Harley.
  The Ripley Funeral Home is honored to serve Ms. Sue's family and invites you to sign the guestbook and share memories.
