Our beloved "Tootsie", Barbara Anne Kirk, 76, resident of Ripley, passed away Sunday morning June 23, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center following an extended illness.
Per Mrs. Kirk's request, there will be no public services. Private family services are planned. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kirk was born February 23, 1943 in West Memphis, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Knox Addison and Dorothy Spencer Gray. She was a graduate of West Memphis High School and was a valued employee of Bryant's BBQ in Memphis for over 25 years until her retirement.
A Christian, Mrs. Kirk will be remembered as a carefree, spirited individual who had a "unique sense of humor" and a "laugh that would not be forgotten". She had a zest for life and a story or joke to tell.
Her favorite times were shared with her family, whether doting on grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking or " pulling pranks". The joy and laughter she brought to many will be greatly missed.
Memories will be cherished by her daughters, Kimberly Wade of Memphis and Kelli Conrad (Kevin) of Ripley, one brother, Hugh "Buddy" Gray (Brenda) of Olive Branch, three grandchildren, Raven Wade, Ethan and Addison Conrad and two great grandchildren, Christian Wade and Camryn Pruett.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Larry Dean Glover who preceded her in 1985 and Fred Kirk who preceded her in 2001, a sister Mauree "Mama Sis" Strawn and two brothers, Bill and Bob Gray.
The Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with Mrs. Kirk's family.
