Carlis Randal Tyra

Carlis Randal Tyra, 57, resident of Guntown and beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away Thursday August 2, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness.
  Private family services are planned with burial in the Hills Chapel Cemetery near Baldwyn. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born March 20, 1961 in Baldwyn, he was the son of the late Rabon and Maudie Joyner Tyra. He received his education at Houston Public School in the Kirkville Community near Baldwyn. Randy, affectionately known at "Tater" by his family and friends, was employed as an auto body repairman for several auto shops in the North Mississippi area.
  A Christian, Randy's greatest gift was his ability to make friends easily, to tell stories and share laughter. A family oriented person, he lived his life to the fullest and loved a good time. Randy was known as the family "jokester" and his great sense of humor will be missed but always remembered by those that knew and loved him.
  Those left to treasure his memory include his sister, Vicki Nastrom of Tupelo, two nieces, Veronica Berry and Stacey Warren, three nephews, Neal, Matt and Wesley Tyra, a sister in law, Pam Tyra, an aunt, Sara Pannell and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Tyra of Pontotoc.
