 Christopher Charles "Chris" Tigrett, a resident of Pahrump, Nevada and native Tippah Countian, died in Pahrump Tuesday evening June 13, 2017. He was 34 years of age and died unexpectedly.
  Services honoring the life of Chris will be at 2 PM Saturday June 24 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. The Speakers will be President Mike Edwards and Bro. Charley Ward, both representing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Albany. Burial will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.
  Visitation for Chris will be from 1 PM to 2 PM Saturday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born August 2, 1982 in Ripley, he was the son of Terry, Sr. and Jan Haff Tigrett of Blue Mountain. Chris was a 2001 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
   He had been a resident of Nevada for the past six years and had been employed by the Departments of Corrections in various locations for over twelve years. Chris began his security career in the Marshall County, MS Correction System and continued his career at Hardeman County Correction Center in Whiteville and the West TN Detention Center in Mason, TN. He was employed as Shift Supervisor at the Southern Detention Center in Nevada at the time of his death.
  Chris will be remembered as a person who loved outdoor activities, baseball and family. His dedication and work ethic prompted him to constantly improve and excel in his chosen career. His was loved and respected by all that knew him.
  In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his wife, Venicia Armour Tigrett, his daughters, Kristen and Karah Tigrett, two sisters, Angela Tigrett of Chicago, IL and Jodeen Tigrett of Rochelle, IL, a brother, Terry Tigrett, Jr. of Blue Mountain and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Corinne Haff of Oswego, IL and Mark and Leatrice Tigrett of Blue Mountain.
  Pallbearers will be Elder Skyler Corbett, Elder Ethan Braithwaite, D.P. Holmes, Martin Ackley, Ken Cecil and Clyde Gentry.
