Claude Raymond Ewing, 88, resident of the Ripley Community and retired business owner and sales representative, passed from this life into Glory on Friday afternoon November 24, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
  Funeral Services honoring the Christian life of Mr. Ewing will be at 12 Noon Monday November 27 at the Ripley Primitive Baptist Church where he was a faithful and beloved member and Deacon. Officiants will be Elder Louis Sacran, Elder Isaac Guess and Elder Zack Guess. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery near Ripley. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born September 14, 1929 in Tupelo, he was the son of the late Claude and Maude Rial Ewing. Mr. Ewing was a graduate of Belden High School and had been a resident of Tippah County for the last 33 years.
  Mr. Ewing will be remembered by many as owner of Ewing Mobile Homes in Oxford and his employment with National Butane in Memphis. Before his retirement he also served as an independent sales representative for Trinity Industries in the states of AL, AR, MS and TN.
  Mr. Ewing loved his family, his church and the people of God. He loved working outside and used his talents to serve those in need. He loved the gospel of grace and the sovereignty of God. Mr. Ewing was a man who invested his life in the Kingdom of God, and one of his favorite investments was laboring at Camp Moriah. Most of all, he loved Jesus Christ. He was a man among men and a servant among servants.
  Visitation for Mr. Ewing will be from 10 AM until service time Monday at the Church.
  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Darlene Bell Ewing, six children, Ronnie , Glen and Stephen Ewing, Le Scott, Andrea Strevel and Abigail Sacran, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Ewing.
  Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Doug, Donnie and Eric Ewing, Ty Scott, Noah Guess, Paul Wallis, Brandon Newell and Macain Chunn.
