David Lee Taylor

Our much loved brother, uncle and friend, David Lee Taylor, 65, lifetime resident of Tippah County and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, passed away with his devoted sister by his side on Tuesday evening January 1, 2019 at Resthaven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.
  Funeral Services remembering the life of David will be at 11 AM Saturday January 5 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Falkner Cemetery.
  Born November 27, 1953 in Ripley, David was the son of the late Wallace Edgar and Daisy McDowell Taylor. He was a 1971 graduate of Falkner High School and continued his education at Piedmont Technical College located in South Carolina.
  In earlier years, David was a Boy Scout and achieved his Eagle Scout Award and Order of the Arrow at the age of 12. As a young person he worked with his father as a carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and riding horses.
  His physical limitations at the age of 20 did not hinder the joy and love of life that David possessed with those whose lives he touched. The love and memories he gave his family and friends will be treasured forever.
  A resident of Resthaven for 10 years, David considered this caring facility his home and the wonderful staff his family.
  Visitation for David will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday January 4 and will continue Saturday morning from 8 AM until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  David's memory will be treasured by his sister, Geraldine Elder (Lavaughn) of Tiplersville, one niece, Angie Elder Quinn (Chuck) of New Albany , one great niece, Annabell Taylor Quinn and many dear friends.
  David's family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staff and residents of Resthaven Health & Rehabilitaion for their excellent care and concern for our beloved David.
