Edward Eugene "E.T." Turner

 Edward Eugene "E.T." Turner, native Mississippian and resident of the Walnut Community for the past 30 years, passed away Friday evening July 20, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was 59 years of age and died following an illness of several months.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Turner will be at 2 PM Friday July 27 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. David Shepherd, pastor of County Line Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery near Walnut.
  Mr. Turner was born February 2, 1959 in Starkville and is the son of Wynell Buse Brown (Roy) of Petal, MS and the late Boyd Turner. He received his education in the Starkville School System and in earlier years was employed with local pallet manufacturers that included Nails Pallet Company and Jordan Pallets in Walnut.
  Mr. Turner was a Christian and will be remembered for his strong work ethic throughout his life. He enjoyed special times with his grandchildren and was much loved by his family.
  Visitation for Mr. Turner will be from 12 noon until service time Friday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to his mother and step-father, he leaves his best friend and companion, Kathy Mardis of Walnut, a daughter, Surjet Turner of Tuscaloosa, AL, a son, Jody Turner of Walnut, two sisters, Reba Hatman (Ernie) of Purvis, MS and Sherry Moody of McKinney, TX and ten grandchildren.
  Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Zachary Cawthorn, Steven Mitchell, Nathan Ziles, David Young, Shane Young and James Ahlum.
