Ernest Eulane "Lane" Berryhill

Lane Berryhill, 81, resident of Lake Cormorant, MS and native of Tippah County, departed this life June 13, 2017 at his residence of natural causes following a brief illness.
   Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Berryhill will be at 2 PM Friday, June 16 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with reflections and remarks given by a family friend, Stan Kuykendall . Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in the Dry Creek Community of Tippah County.
   Born October 1, 1935 in Tippah County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Pearl Garrett Berryhill, early residents of the Pine Grove and Dry Creek Communities. Mr. Berryhill received his education in the Tippah County School System and in Georgia during earlier years. He was a Christian and had been a resident of Lake Cormorant for 18 years.
   Mr. Berryhill will be remembered by many as an entrepreneur throughout his life and a man possessed with a strong work ethic. An astute businessman and owner of numerous businesses throughout his life, he served as Chief Finance Officer for the Commercial Marine Services, Inc. in Memphis before his retirement. A person who took much pride in his personal appearance, Mr. Berryhill was a former resident of Germantown, TN before moving to Lake Cormorant.
   He remained devoted to his family and friends throughout his life and served as a caregiver for his mother in later years.
   Mr. Berryhill was the last survivor of his immediate family and leaves a number of cousins and relatives in Tippah County and surrounding areas.
   Pallbearers will be family and friends that include Freddie Anderson, Michael Criswell and George Cummings.
   The family request that memorials be directed to the Concord Cemetery Association, 8520 CR 600, Booneville, MS 38829.
