Farrell Wayne Brumley Obituary

 Farrell Wayne Brumley, 78, lifelong resident of the Tippah / Prentiss County Line areas and well known retired law enforcement officer before his retirement, passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 at his beloved lifelong home on the Tippah/ Prentiss County Line.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Brumley will be at 2 PM Saturday June 9 in The New Covenant Family Worship Center in Booneville with Bro. David Krech officiating. Private burial will follow in the Jumpertown Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Mr. Brumley was born May 7, 1940 at the old Brumley family homeplace in Tippah County. He was the son of the late Charley W. "Dock" and Velilia Olga Paden Brumley and was a graduate of Jumpertown High School. On December 20, 1958 he married his devoted wife, the former Flossie Marie Estes of the Dry Creek Community who survives.
  A Christian, Mr. Brumley was a self-employed sawmill and logger throughout his life and was involved in law enforcement in both Prentiss and Tishomingo Counties. He had served as a Deputy Sheriff in Prentiss County and later served as a Deputy Sheriff in Tishomingo County. Mr. Brumley was elected to serve as sheriff of Prentiss County from 1992 to 1996.
  He will be remembered for his love of outdoor activities that included fishing, hunting and special times with family and friends.
  Visitation for Mr. Brumley will be from 12 PM to 2 PM Saturday at The New Covenant Family Worship Center.
  In addition to his wife of 59 years, Mr. Brumley is survived by his children, Shelia Tyler (Fred) and John Brumley, both of Booneville and Charles (Butch) Brumley (Mellissa) of Madison, GA, eleven grandchildren, Jonathan (Jessica), Deidra and Jessica (Jon) Tyler, Nicola Miles (Jeremy), Cameron Fletcher (Luisa), Jason (Candace), Josh, Hunter (Lauren), Gunter, Paden and John-Ramsey Brumley and seven great grandchildren.
  He was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Rena Brumley.
