Jacob Wayne "Jake" Larson

 Jake Larson, 29, resident of the Dumas Community and beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Wednesday morning June 27, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Jake will be at 3 PM Friday June 29 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with his friend, Bro. Chris Shinall, youth minister of Dumas Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery near Ripley.
  Jake was born August 21, 1988 in Council Bluff, Iowa and is the son of Linda Garrison Larson of Dumas and the late Rodmond Scott Larson. He was a 2006 graduate of Pine Grove High School and had been a resident of Tippah County for the last 22 years.
  A Christian, Jake served as a Corinth firefighter in earlier years and was employed by Ashley Manufacturing Corporation and Autozone in Ripley before his illness.
  Remembered as a big-hearted person, Jake was devoted to his family and friends with a special closeness to his "Grandma Birdie". He had a passion for his Chevy Silverado truck and enjoyed using his spare time to continuously "up-grade" the sound system.
  Visitation for family and friends will be today from 12 Noon until 3 PM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to his mother, Jake is survived by two brothers, Nickolas Larson (Amber) of Hendersonville, TN and Craig Larson (Lacy Eddy) of Gallatin, TN, his maternal grandmother, Birdie Garrison of Dumas, a niece, Kinsleigh Larson and two nephews, Carter and Collin Larson.
