On Sunday evening February 10, 2019, Jeffrey Leon Huddleston, 54, resident of the Dumas Community, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Jeff will be at 2 PM Friday February 15 at West Ripley Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Ray Vuncannon and Bro. Bill Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Lowry Cemetery near Ripley. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
Jeff was born November 5, 1964 in Ripley and is the son of Jane McDowell Huddleston of Dumas and the late Leon Huddleston. He was a graduate of Ripley High School and was employed by The Tippah Electric Company for a number of years.
A Christian and lifelong Tippah Countian, Jeff assisted in the building and establishment of Fellowship Christian Church near Ripley. An avid outdoorsman, he will be remembered for his love of fishing and hunting. Jeff impacted many lives with his spirited personality and infectious smile. He leaves behind many memories to be cherished by his family and friends.
Visitation for Jeff will continue Friday at the church until service time.
In addition to his mother, those left to honor his memory include his son, Joshua Huddleston (Heather) of California, MO, one brother, Gary Huddleston of Ripley, three grandchildren, Hunter, Jacob and Jordan Huddleston. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and the mother of his son, Carolyn Mauney Huddleston.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Fredda Huddleston and a great niece, Ashleigh Buntin.
