Jimmy Wayne Crafton, Sr.

Jimmy Wayne Crafton Sr., a resident of the Ripley community and known by family and friends as "Little Jim", peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Rest Haven Health Care Center in Ripley. He was 64 years of age and died following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services for Mr. Crafton will be at 2 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ripley City Cemetery.
  Born November 5, 1953 in Nashville, TN Mr. Crafton was the son of the late Willard and Pauline Flatt Crafton. He received his education in the Davidson County public school system in Nashville and was a resident of the Nashville area for much of his life before moving to North Mississippi to be near family members. He was a resident of Tishomingo County before moving to Ripley. He had been a resident of Rest Haven for the past six months.
  Mr. Crafton was a Christian and will be remembered for his love of basketball and Nascar in earlier years. He also was a Andy Griffith, Barney Fife, and Gomer Pyle fan and enjoyed following his favorite teams and programs on television during his lengthy illness.
  A visitation for family and friends will be at the Ripley Funeral Home from 12 noon until service time at 2 PM Thursday.
  Mr. Crafton is survived by his son Jimmy Crafton Jr. and wife Jennifer of the Burnsville Commuity, a brother Willard Crafton of Nashville, he also leaves five grandchildren Kayla Crafton, Michael Crafton, Jordan Crafton, Faith Farriols, and Ethan Twitty.
  He was preceded in death by three sisters and a grandson Stefan Dotson.
