 With her loving family by her side, Judy Ormon Ward, 66, resident of the Gravestown Community and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Monday morning December 4, 2017 at the Tippah County Hospital.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Judy will be at 11 AM Wednesday December 6 with Minister King McCarver officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Hill Cemetery in Benton County. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born December 14, 1950 in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late S. E. and Margaret Crum Ormon. Judy was a 1968 graduate of Hickory Flat High School and continued her education at Mississippi State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education. On August 6, 1971 she married her beloved husband, Greg Ward, a former Mississippi State Representative, who survives.
  A member of Beech Hill Church of Christ, Mrs. Ward was an elementary school teacher for 25 years beginning in the Benton County School System and later at Ripley Elementary School before her retirement in 2003.
  Judy will be remembered as an extraordinary woman whose major interest in life was her large family and timeless hours painting and creating beautiful works of art. Judy's generous spirit and enduring faith have left her family and friends with a legacy that they will forever cherish.
  Visitation will continue Wednesday until 11 AM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to her husband of 46 years, those left to treasure her memory include her children, Stephanie Clifton (Richie) and Kelly Ward (Roxanne) both of Ripley and Stacie Holloway (Keith) of Springhill, TN, three sisters, Gail Mills (Clinton), Louise Stanton (Jacky) and Jane Steele (Robbie) all of Hickory Flat, four brothers, Charlie Ormon (Kay) of Collierville, TN, Mark Ormon (Teena) and Clark Ormon (Miriam), both of Hickory Flat and Paul Ormon (Maria) of New Albany, her eight wonderful grandchildren, Sarah Ann Evans, Caleb Clifton, Bradley Holloway, Caroline Evans, Mary Alice Clifton, Kate Ward, Mia Ward and Landon Clifton, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces , great nephews and a very special friend, Linda Rutherford.
