Justin Heath Bowen

On Tuesday afternoon April 23, 2019, Justin Heath Bowen, 38, lifelong resident of Ripley and beloved resident of Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Justin will be at 2 PM Friday April 26 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery in Booneville.
  Born May 30, 1980 in Ripley, Justin is the son of Nellie Mills Barnes of Ripley and the late Roger Bowen. He received his education at Ripley High School and before his lengthy illness, enjoyed the outdoors that included fishing.
  A Christian , Justin's illness and physical limitations did not hinder him from his determination to enjoy life. He will be remembered for his love of family, singing Gospel and Country music and playing the guitar. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him and were honored to be part of his life.
  Visitation will be Friday from 12 Noon until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  In addition to his mother, Justin is survived by his children, Americus, Charlotte and Paytton Bowen, all of Ripley, two sisters, Michelle Winkles (Elvis) of Ripley and Gayla Stephenson (Mark) of Booneville, four brothers, Steve Bowen and Shane Bowen (Lisa), both of Ripley, Anthony Bowen and Greg Bowen (Tammy), both of Booneville, his maternal grandmother, Josephine Mills of Ripley, five nieces, nine nephews, two great nieces and two great nephews.
  The Bowen family would like to extend a special thank you to Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center for the love, care and concern for Justin over the past 9 years.
