On Sunday May 19, 2019, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Katie Beth Brown, resident of Blue Mountain, departed this life at her home.
Funeral Services for Katie will be at 12 Noon Wednesday May 22 at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Benton County with a visitation for family and friends from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the church. Private family burial will follow in the Flat Rock Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
Born July 16, 1971 in New Albany, Katie was a lifelong resident of the Benton and Tippah County areas. A Christian and graduate of the Hickory Flat Attendance Center, she was currently employed with the Dirt Cheap Corporation in Blue Mountain.
Known for her excellent cooking skills, Katie was formerly employed with Huddle Houses located in both Ripley and New Albany. Her interests were many and included lighthouses, redbirds, reading, dancing and roses. She will be remembered for the love she possessed for her sons and family.
Katie lived life to the fullest and her memory will live on in the hearts of both family and friends.
Memories will be treasured by her mother Brenda Lollar Smith (Glenn) of Blue Mountain, two sons, Adam Massengill (Ashley) of Hickory Flat and Cody Brown (Christina) of Ripley, three sisters, Susan Robbins (David) of Ingomar, Mary Jones of Tupelo and Amy Gresham (Brian) of Ashland, one brother, Charlie Jones (Heather) of Hickory Flat, a step sister, Dawn Brock of Ripley and eight grandchildren, Alyssa Keys, Hunter Nowlin, Grayson Massengill, Alexis, Addison, Madison and Derek Pannell and Kylee Brown.
