Lee Norris Jamieson, 77, resident of New Albany, U. S. Naval Veteran and retired self-employed construction plasterer, passed away Monday April 23, 2018 at the New Albany Health & Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
A private family service is planned. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
Born March 15, 1941 in the Pinedale Community in Union County, he was the son of the late T.F. and Etoy Kirk Jamieson. Mr. Jamieson received his education in the Union County Public School System and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In earlier years Mr. Jamieson moved to California where he was a self employed stucco plasterer until his retirement. He moved with his family to Arizona before returning to his native home of Mississippi five years ago.
A family oriented person, Mr. Jamieson was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports on television that included basketball and football. Always a young man at heart, his friends and family will remember his love of camping, water skiing at Lake Havasu and all water sports.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Ronda Thompson (Ricky) of Richmond, KY and Lisa Pastorelle (Joseph) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, three sisters, Geneva Ferrell of New Albany, Brenda Gresham of Senatobia and Judy Wilson of Southaven, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and his former wife, Geneva Ann Sanford.
