Linda Shelby Curle

Linda Shelby Curle, 67, resident of Ripley and beloved wife of the late Bro. Jimmy Curle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday February 15, 2019 at her son's residence in Ripley following an extended illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the Christian life of Mrs. Curle will be at 2 PM Sunday February 17 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Stacy McKee and Bro. Robert Buse officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery near Walnut.
  Mrs. Curle was born July 23, 1951 in Ripley, the daughter of Mary Scott Shelby Hunt of Falkner and the late Herman Shelby. She received her education in the Ashland School System and was married December 14, 1968 to her devoted husband of 49 years, Jimmy L. Curle who preceded her in death on October 17, 2017.
  Serving as a pastor's wife for over 35 years, Mrs. Curle faithfully supported her husband's pastorates at New Hope BAptist Church, Clear Creek Baptist Church and Chewalla Baptist Church before his retirement. She was also a valued employee of Wurlitzer Piano Company in Holly Springs and because of her love for children became a dedicated employee of Noah's Ark Daycare in Ripley before her retirement.
  A devout Christian and member of Springdale Baptist Church, Mrs.Curle was a family oriented person who had a zest for life and a passion for traveling which included ocean cruises. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her much joy. She will be remembered as an avid conversationalist with an outgoing personality and shopping was her favorite pasttime. Her family has the assurance of knowing that our loss here on earth, is truly Heaven's gain.
  Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Saturday February 16 and continue from 12 Noon until 2 PM Sunday February 17 at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Memories will be treasured by her two sons, Brad Curle (Leslie) of Ripley and Scott Curle (Michelle) of Oxford, two grandchildren, Harper Curle and Marlana Porter (Hunter), two great grandchildren, Henley and Mason Porter and one aunt, Lillie B. Hunsucker of Falkner.
  The family request that memorials be directed to the Gideons, PO Box 4, Ripley , MS 38663 of to Springdale Mission Fund, 581 E Walnut St, Ripley, MS 38663.
