 Margaret Jean Morillo Matson, 72, resident of the Ripley Community, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24, 2017 at her residence in Ripley.
   A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 11 AM to 12 Noon Friday December 29 in the Faith Parlor of The Ripley Funeral Home. A Private Family burial is planned.
   Born March 25, 1945 in Willow Springs, California, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Julia Leon Morillo. Margaret received her education in the California Public School System and was employed as a caregiver throughout her life in various Home Health agencies.
   Margaret was a Christian and was proud of her Native American Heritage. She was a former resident of Nevada before moving to Tippah County to be near relatives. A people person, she enjoyed cooking, home renovations and "oldies" music. Known affectionately as "Gramma", Margaret loved time with her grandchildren, family gatherings and BBQ's.
   Survivors include her daughters, Linda Penna of Ripley, Mary Interdonato of Salem, OR and Ilene Dixon of Okmulgee, OK, two sisters, Virginia Gomez and Phyllis Ruiz, grandchildren, Charles Penna (Brooke), Samantha Meeks (Ethan), James Penna, Nicholas Steele, Eddie & Scotty Interdonato, Heather Saiz, Heidi, Holly and Jr. Dixon, Angelina Fairman, Jeremy and Jessica Wilkinson and a host of great grandchildren.
   She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Sayers and a brother, Frederick Morillo.
