Martha Ann Hopper Burchett

Martha Ann Hopper Burchett, 72, well known resident of the Ripley Community and remembered by many as a person with a strong work ethic , passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday morning December 26, 2017 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness. Mrs. Burchett has now joined her husband, Charles Wayne Burchett, Sr. who preceded her in death eighteen days ago on December 8, 2017.
  Funeral Services cherishing the Christian life of Mrs. Burchett will be at 3 PM Thursday December 28 at Lowry United Methodist Church where she was devoted member for many years. The officiating minister will be her pastor, Bro. Kenneth Harrison and he will be assisted by longtime family friend, Bro. Doc Shelton. Burial will follow in Lowry Cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born August 19, 1945 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Maggie Clark Hopper. Mrs. Burchett was a graduate of Kossuth High School and in earlier years was a long time employee of the Foot Caress and BenchCraft Corporations in Tippah County before her retirement.
  Her mission throughout her life was that everyone had everything that they needed. Mrs. Burchett will be remembered for her love of her church, singing and the memories she gave to her family and friends that will live on forever in their hearts.

Visitation will continue Thursday at the church.
  Survivors include her three sons, Charles W. Burchett, Jr. (Reba), Billy S. Burchett (Debra) and Thomas F. Burchett (Mary) all of Ripley, a brother, JD Hopper (Vicky) of Rienzi, four grandchildren, Rhonda Sanders (Eddy), Ashley Poole (Randy), Missy and Nathan Burchett and four great grandchildren.
  Mrs. Burchett was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tameka Burchett, two sisters and four brothers.
