Mary Payton Robertson Miskelly, 90, resident of the Falkner Community and beloved wife of the late Roy Duncan Miskelly, entered her Heavenly home on Thursday evening November 23, 2017 at the Tippah County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley.
  Funeral Services cherishing the well lived life of Mrs. Miskelly will be at 2 Pm Sunday November 26 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with her pastor, Bro. Steve Cohea of Falkner Baptist Church officiating assisted by Bro. Andrew Chesteen of Tiplersville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Falkner Cemetery.
  Born September 22, 1927 in Ripley, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Gladys Chapman Robertson. Mrs. Miskelly was a 1944 graduate of Peoples High School and moved at an early age to Memphis for employment. In 1945 she married Roy Duncan Miskelly, a U. S. Army Veteran and mechanic, who preceded her in death on November 25, 2003.
  In 1958 Mr. and Mrs. Miskelly moved with their family to Tippah County where she was employed by the Foot Caress Company until her retirement in 1985. An active member of Falkner Baptist Church, she participated in numerous activities that included teaching GA's , a children's class and was a member of the church Social and Shower Committees.
  Mrs. Miskelly will be remembered as a family oriented person, her passion for growing flowers, and her love of traveling, having visited every state except Alaska. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community.
  Visitation for Mrs. Miskelly will continue from 12 noon until service time Sunday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Kathye Miskelly and Jackie Wright (Nat) , her son, Freddie Miskelly, all of Falkner, two sisters, Helen Nance, and Onaria "Shortie" Hurt, her grandsons, David and Mark Smith and Tim Smith Lankford (Hank), step grandsons, Brian Wright (Shanon) and Will Wright (Erica), her great grandson, Wade Smith, step great grandchildren, Carley Hughes, Dacey Caviness, Wit, Tessa, Kassie and Colt Wright and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
  She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Jimmy and Billy Hugh Robertson and a dear friend, Waymon Windham.
