 Melvin Fagen Beasley, 82, resident of the Chalybeate Community and retired equipment operator, passed away Tuesday December 11, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness.
  Funeral Services honoring the life of Mr. Beasley will be at 2 PM Friday December 28 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park near Corinth.
  Mr. Beasley was born February 8, 1936 in Prentiss County and was the son of the late Jesse William and Annie Mae Hall Beasley. He was employed with Hill Brothers Construction Company as a heavy equipment operator for many years before his retirement.
  A Christian and family oriented person, Mr. Beasley was affectionately known as "Pa" to his much adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of hunting and playing a game of pool with friends.
  Visitation will be Friday from 1 PM to 2 PM at The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Dixon (Harold) of Theo, a son, Tim Bealsey of Kossuth, two sisters, Ann Richardson (JD) of Ripley and Ruby Harper (Wallace) of Corinth, his companion, Barbara Cameron of Chalybeate, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth James Beasley, a son, Scott Beasley and a brother, James Beasley.
