Mollie Pauline Brown Crouch, longtime resident of the Ripley Community and a joyful life beautifully lived for 94 years, departed this life Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the comfort of her home after a brief illness.
  Funeral Services cherishing the well lived life of Mrs. Crouch will be at 2 PM Friday December 29 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. A member of North Ripley Baptist Church, Bro. Chris Lewellen, her pastor, will officiate assisted by Bro. Nathaniel Brown. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery near Walnut.
  Born November 14, 1923 in Alcorn County, she was the oldest and last surviving child of the late James and Bertha Nelson Brown. Mrs. Crouch received her education in the Unity Community School System and married William C. Crouch, a former employee of Oil-Dri Corporation, who preceded her in death on October 3, 1976.
  In earlier years, Mrs. Crouch was employed as a Dietician at the Tippah County Hospital for a number of years before her retirement.
  Affectionately known as "Sister" or "Aunt Sis", Mrs. Crouch was blessed with good health and possessed a disciplined work ethic that continued throughout her life. She will be remembered for her love of family, old gospel music and growing vegetables. Cooking and planning meals for her family was her passion that began every morning.
  Those left to honor her memory include her children, Delores Pannell and Johnny Crouch, both of Ripley, two grandchildren, Mark Pannell (Jennifer) and Marsha Pannell, three great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, two sisters in law, Beatrice Brown and Jennie Lou Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
  In addition to her parents and husband of 27 years, Mrs. Crouch was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Barkley and Mary Frances Brown, three brothers, William "Buck", James and Alphie Brown and a son in law, Junior Pannell.
