Pamela Kay Spencer Thompson, 55, resident of Walnut and much loved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, passed away Wednesday January 30, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis following a brief illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Kay will be at 2 PM Friday February 1 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Norman Braddock Spencer family cemetery near Walnut.
Kay was born May 3, 1963 in Corinth, MS, the daughter of the late Jeff and Petty Lovins Spencer and received her education in the Pine Grove School System.
A Christian and homemaker throughout her life, Kay enjoyed life and was employed with the food service industry in earlier years. She will be remembered as a family oriented person who enjoyed television and supporting her grandchildren, great nieces and nephews in sporting events.
Visitation for Kay will be from 12 Noon to 2 PM Friday at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Crystal Paul (William) and April Griggs both of Ripley, two sons, Shawn Christ of Oakland, CA and Billy Thompson (Meagen) of Ripley, one sister, Donna Norman (Amel) of Walnut, 17 grandchildren and two special nieces, Pamela Rutherford (William) and Victoria Waldrop (Ethan) both of Walnut.
She was also preceded in death by a son, David Thompson and four brothers, Lynn, Bobby Don, Joe Wayne and Johnny Spencer.
