Ruth Irene Hopper

Ruth Irene Hopper, 62, resident of the Ripley Community and lifelong Tippah Countian, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday May 7, 2018 at her residence.
  Graveside Services for Ms. Hopper will be at 2 PM Wednesday May 9 at Lowry Methodist Church Cemetery near Ripley with family friend, Bro. Terry Ray Vuncannon officiating. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
  Born September 14, 1955 in Ripley, she was the daughter of the late Levern and Ruby P. Walker Hopper. Ms. Hopper was a 1973 graduate of Pine Grove High School and devoted her life to caring for her family and assisting in the operation of the Hopper family farm.
  A member of Lowry Methodist Church, Ms. Hopper will be remembered as a quiet, private person who found much joy in her home and her pets that included dogs, cats and goats. Gardening and flowers were favorite pasttimes.
  Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Marie Shackelford (Larry Joe) of Ripley, her brother, Billy Joe Hopper (Johna) of Ripley , a niece, Erin Hollis, five nephews, Jeffrey Shackelford, Russ Buntin, Jacob, Jordan and John Mark Hopper, five great nephews and nine great nieces.
  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shelby, Binford, niece, Melissa Brazil and great niece, Ashley Buntin.
